What device do I use?

Encounter provides facility partners with tablets configured with the required software and platform for services. Your facility will have access to our in-house IT department to assist with any set-up, questions, or issues.

We use a HIPAA-compliant video-conferencing platform created specifically for telehealth encounters.

Who pays for your services?

We bill Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies directly. There is also a monthly service fee billed to the facility.

Who benefits from telehealth?

The short answer: everyone. When a patient begins telehealth services, they receive an evaluation and a plan of care tailored to their needs. A person may be a good candidate for telepsychiatry if they have any of the following conditions:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • PTSD
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Dementia
  • Have experienced big life changes
  • Are on antipsychotic medications
  • And more

In addition to the patients, the staff at facilities greatly benefits from telehealth. There is no need to organize transportation, disrupt residents, or have staff leave the facility for travel time and appointments.

Family members and other care-takers also benefit from our services, as they have the comfort in knowing their loved ones are receiving compassionate, convenient, and quality mental health services. To learn more, please visit Our Services.
